Redang Island was a lot of fun with my friends over the weekend. We spent quality time together and rewarded ourselves with plenty of healing time away from work and life stress. However, fun times came to an end and I had to go back to Kuala Lumpur, back to facing life with a new re-energised spirit. I already booked the Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur bus tickets for my friend and me at BusOnlineTicket.com. So, below is the summary of our journey:

Book Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur bus tickets online
BusOnlineTicket.com allowed me to view the bus schedule and compare the bus ticket price from different bus operators. I booked the Transnasional bus from Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur with departure time at 9 PM and paid easily using Maybank2U. After payment, I received the booking confirmation email and printed the PDF version.
Going to the “Hentian Bas MPKT”
Hentian Bas MPKT; or the longer name Hentian Bas Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu, is the main pickup and drop off point for express buses going from and to Kuala Terengganu. The location is conveniently located around 15 minute’s walking distance away from the Shahbandar Jetty. So, after we got off from the ferry from Pulau Redang, we both walked to the MPKT Bus Terminal.
Once we reached the MPKT Bus Terminal, we went to the ticket counter to check-in and confirm the bus departure. The staff verified our booking and gave us the Transnasional bus tickets in exchange.
Since we were at the departure time early, we had our early dinner at the food court in the MPKT Bus Terminal. We noticed that there were many other shops and facilities available at the MPKT Bus Terminal such as toilet, prayer room, taxi waiting area and even a barbershop. It was quite entertaining to walk around the bus terminal and see what it has to offer to kill the time before our bus arrive.
Transnasional Bus from Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur
I was happy with the fact that the bus provided for this trip was quite new. The design was fresh and the interior was clean and spacious. On top of that, each seat has a USB charging port too. A plus for Transnasional!
After the driver made sure all passengers were on-board and safely seated, the bus finally departed from the MPKT Bus Terminal.
Stop at “Hentian Pengangkutan Awam Dungun” & “Hentian Bas Ekspress Cukai”
The bus from Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur stopped two times to pick up more passengers. However, the bus didn’t stopped for long. After these two stops, I think we both dozed off to sleep, charmed by the air-conditioner coming from on top of us.
Tips: Since it was a night bus, it did get cold after a while. We expected this and prepared sweater beforehand. Hence, the sleep on the bus was amazingly comfortable! So, prepare a sweater with you. Alternatively, you can also close the lid for the air conditioner if it gets too cold for you.
Rest stop at “D’ Cherating Cafe, Kg. Baharu Cherating”
The driver’s voice informing that we have arrived at the rest stop woke us up around 12.30AM. I rubbed my eyes to chase away the sleepiness and stretched a bit as my brain doing its job of loading information.
Some of the passengers were already out of the bus pursuing their own individual mission, either going to the washroom or getting something to drink or eat. I suddenly craved for a cold Milo so I went down and bought a glass for myself. Around 1AM, the bus continued its journey.
Arrival at KL Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS)
I slept throughout the whole journey to KL after that. The seat was cozy, my sweater kept me warm and the air-conditioner made the whole journey comfortable. We reached TBS safe and sound at around 4.30 AM in the morning. The whole journey took us around 7.5 hours. After thanking the driver, we proceeded to look for a transportation option to go back home.
Overall, taking Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur bus with Transnasional was a satisfying experience. If you are planning to travel back to Kuala Lumpur from Pulau Redang, I suggest you to book Transnasional bus tickets at BusOnlineTicket.com.
