Pangkor Island Here We Come!
My roommate and I were eating snacks while watching a comedy show on a quite Sunday evening when he out of nowhere said, “Hey, let’s go to Pangkor”. At first, I stared at him in disbelief because it was Sunday evening and we had to go to work the next day. Then my brains exploded with ideas and gave him a wide smile. He replied with a grin.
We searched and booked our bus tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Lumut at BusOnlineTicket.com for departure on the next coming weekend instead. New Year is coming soon and we thought we should have a year-end trip to celebrate life and reward ourselves for working hard throughout the year. Booking was done easily with his smartphone and we got the booking confirmation from BusOnlineTicket.com almost immediately after we made the payment.
Actually, Lumut is the gateway to Pangkor Island. However, there is no flight or train to Pangkor Island or to Lumut. Since we both do not have any car, taking Kuala Lumpur to Pangkor Island bus was the most convenient option for us. Below is the summary of our journey:
i. | Going to the pickup point at Hentian Duta |
ii. | Check in at Transnasional ticket counter |
iii. | Board the bus |
iv. | Stop by Teluk Intan Bus Terminal & Seri Manjung Bus Station |
v. | Arrival in Lumut Bus Station |
Going to the pickup point at Hentian Duta
The pickup point for Kuala Lumpur to Lumut bus was in Hentian Duta, Kuala Lumpur. We reached there 30 minutes early as advised. The bus terminal was simple with spacious waiting area in front of the bus platform and ticket counter behind the waiting area. The facilities were enough to accommodate the needs of the passengers in Hentian Duta.
Check in at Transnasional ticket counter
Once we reached at Hentian Duta Bus Terminal, we went to Transnasional ticket counter to check in. We passed the printed booking confirmation sent by BusOnlineTicket.com to the counter staff. After verifying our booking, she passed two Transnasional bus tickets for us to board the bus.
Transnasional bus from Kuala Lumpur to Lumut
Transnasional bus arrived on time at the boarding platform. After we stored our luggage and passed our bus tickets to the bus driver for final check, we boarded the bus and found our seats with no problem.
The bus was a single deck bus, equipped with spacious and soft cushioned seats. Air conditioner worked fine and we had a comfortable ride throughout the journey from Kuala Lumpur to Lumut.
Stop by Teluk Intan Bus Terminal & Seri Manjung Bus Station
On the way to Lumut, Transnasional bus stopped two times to drop off passengers in Teluk Intan Bus Terminal and Seri Manjung Bus Station. The stops did not last long; only around 5 minutes and then the bus continued its journey to Lumut as planned.
Arrival in Lumut Bus Station
After around 4 hours journey, the bus finally arrived at Lumut Bus Station at 1PM. Lumut Bus Station is located within 5 minutes walking distance to the jetty. We walked following the directions to the jetty and bought our ferry tickets there.
Overall, taking the Kuala Lumpur to Lumut bus with Transnasional was a good experience for us. The 4 hours journey was great and we were happy with the condition of the bus. I would definitely book Transnasional bus tickets online at BusOnlineTicket.com again if I want to bring my brothers and sisters to visit Pangkor Island next time!
